We have been studying the time period of the American Revolution and Constitution in reading and writing. In reading, students are working through stations and gathering information about the different perspectives of events at that time, learning about timelines, reading biographies and writing biographical essays, taking Cornell Notes on historical videos, and conducting book clubs about historical fiction books regarding the American Revolution. Simultaneously, we are also getting ready for PARCC testing! It's a lot and we are working hard each and every day. In writing, we are working on historical fiction narratives based during the time of the American Revolution. Students have researched many famous figures and are creating a timeline of important events.
